+ − × ÷ · Beat your own best · No internet needed

Practising in Mathfacto: a question with a large answer box and keypad, question 3 of 10

Repetition that pays off.

Every round is a chance to beat the last one. Keep going, and the answers stop being worked out — they just come.

  • Pick your facts

Choose + − × ÷, one at a time or mixed together, and the numbers to drill — 7s and 8s, anyone?

  • Race your best

Timed rounds from 1 to 60 minutes. The score to beat is always your own.

Prefer no clock? Set 10 to 100 questions and go at your own pace.

  • Feedback your way

Instant feedback to learn new facts, or an end-of-session review to test what’s stuck.

  • Real statistics

Accuracy, speed, and time practised — by day, week and month, for each operation.

The mastery grid

Watch the grid fill in.

Every fact from 0 to 10 on one grid, colour-coded by accuracy or speed — for each operation. Your three weakest numbers get a gold star, and one tap on “Practise my ★” sets up a round on just those.

Accuracy · Speed · Gold stars · Time practised

Mathfacto statistics: an 11×11 grid colour-coded by accuracy, with the numbers that need practice listed below

Just the math.

No distractions between questions — just focused practice that builds speed and confidence.

What it does

  • Targeted practice on the numbers you choose
  • Short rounds you can repeat as often as you like
  • A personal best to chase every time
  • Missed 3×7? 7×3 comes back later in the round
  • Randomised questions, so the facts stick — not the order

What it doesn’t

  • Mini-games that eat into practice time
  • Need an internet connection
  • Compare you to anyone but yourself
  • Guess at what needs work

Ready in seconds.

  1. 1

    Set it up

Choose operations, numbers, a mode, and how you want feedback.

  2. 2

    Practise

Answer on a big, easy keypad — against the clock or at your own pace.

  3. 3

See your score, and go again

Check the summary, spot the facts that slowed you down, and take another run at your best.

A profile for everyone at the table.

Everyone at the table gets their own profile, so everyone’s stats and progress are tracked separately — and everyone has their own best to beat.

No internet needed

Practise anywhere — in the car, at the cottage, in the waiting room.

Your only competition

Scores are personal. The only number to beat is your own.

Big screens get a two-pane layout, and a hardware keyboard works too — type the answer, press Enter.

Questions, answered.

When is Mathfacto coming out?

It’s in development for iPhone and Android. Ask to be notified and we’ll email you when it launches.

What does “Mathfacto” mean?

It sounds like a spell — say math-FAK-toh. Cast it often enough, and the facts start coming to you like magic.

Who is it for?

Anyone learning their math facts — adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing from 0 to 10 — and grown-ups who want to get faster.

Can I mix operations?

Yes. Pick any combination of + − × ÷ for a round, and the summary breaks your results down by operation.

Why timed rounds?

Short, timed rounds are a simple way to build recall through repetition — and racing your own last score keeps it fun. Prefer no clock? Count mode lets you practise at your own pace.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Practice works anywhere, with no connection needed.

Can more than one person use it?

Yes. Create a profile for each person, and everyone’s stats and progress are tracked separately.

What does it track?

Accuracy, speed, and time practised by day, week and month for each operation — plus timed personal bests, a colour-coded mastery grid, and gold stars on the numbers that need the most practice.
